Grand opening of the Garage Museum new facility is long known as the ‘discovery of the year’, and we don’t think it’s an exaggeration.
Garage is a place where contemporary art, progressive ideas and people meet to make history. It opened the doors of its new home in June 2015. International public figures came to the grand opening to congratulate the museum’s founder Daria Zhukova and its ‘godfather’, architect Remment Koolhaas. Woody Allen, Miuccia Prada, George Lucas, Jeff Koons, Massimiliano Gioni, Michael Govan, Hans-Ulrich Obrist, Adam Weinberg, Klaus Biesenbach, Stella McCartney, Arianna Huffington, Konstantin Ernst, Alyona Doletskaya, Aleksandra Mamut, Natalia Vodianova, Leonid Parfyonov, Ksenia Sobchak, Irina Khakamada, Aidan Salahova and others were spotted at the event.
